The Japanese Red Pine is one of the three most common Japanese Pine varieties and can be impressive subject. It gets it's name for is bark developing from green when young to a flaky orange-red appearance when it matures. Its trunk is often crooked or twisted giving each tree a unique habit. Frost hardy, ideal for the UK climate.
